Concerned! HELP!

So I've been worried for a few years now that I'd contracted genital herpes from this girl. She performed oral sex on me and a few days later I got worried. I noticed that my groin area was very itchy and sore. My skin in that area gets very dry during the winter so I figured I had eczema and it was sore from constant scratching. But a few months later I felt sick for a day or two, chills and everything. I don't remember much after that, other than finding small red bumps around the glans and dark strange like bumps right below them. I figured they were due to fordyce spots since they have been there a while now over two years, might have been there since before I hooked up with that girl. I've been very worried since the day I hooked up with that girl so I researched alot about STDs and I figured I'd contracted herpes. As I said earlier my skin is very dry in the winter and the skin on my penis is dry and itchy sometimes. I found two small bumps on my penis head and I'm getting really worried because they give off this slight tingling sensation sometimes. Please help, I'm pretty young and it really sucks considering I have a girlfriend but we haven't done anything sexual yet. I really care about her and don't want to give her anything. I'm considering getting tested but what do you think? Does it sound like I may have herpes? Can smoking weed reduce outbreaks and if I do have herpes and can people get herpes from me by smoking with me?

actually marijuana has been found to increase herpes recurrences.

You need to go and be seen. this doesn't sound like genital herpes going on. See a dermatologist for a proper work up and peace of mind.

Any reason you've not gotten tested or examined at this point? No one here can be of much help if you don't help yourself first and be seen/tested! To worry and speculate for years is futile  - see your doctor/clinic for appropriate test/exam. For herpes, it's an IgG type specific blood test.

As well, any new sexual partner should know their STD/herpes status too. Talk about it with her (including birth control), and BOTH get tested!

Oh and could this have something to do with masturbation?

To be honest I can't tell whether they have formed into blisters or not. They don't really itch just give off a tingling sensation at times but not as much today as they did yesterday.

As much as people would like, it's impossible to diagnose over the internet, especially concerning herpes which has such a varying degree of symptoms.

It depends on a few factors.  For instance, the chance of contracting genital herpes from one unprotected oral-sex encounter is low, especially if there were no signs of a cold sore on the girl's lips.  Do you recall if she had any sores in or around her lips?

Also, it very well could be your dry skin in the winter, worsened by you scratching it.  Nevertheless, did the red bumps that appeared on your skin turn into blisters?  Did they hurt or itch?  Did they form blisters? How long before they disappeared?

You should see your provider regardless.  Get tested for the full panel of STD's, and make sure to request an IgG specific blood test for both HSV-1 and HSV-2.  You should do this just to be sure before having sex with your new partner, to be safe.

And to answer your question regarding weed; you can not pass on genital herpes from sharing joints/bowls.  If you have a coldsore on your lips you can pass on HSV-1 orally to others through kissing or sharing of cups and/or drugs.
