Concerned about oral herpes

Hello..I have had genital herpes for some 20 years. I recently was with a woman friend (March 23)
I used condom and took valtrex. She knows I have herpes. She said SHE was okay..nothing wrong with her. I know she has been with other men.
I had oral sex with her. Me on her.
12 days later I had an outbreak on my penis..took Valtrex.
A total of 20 days after we were together I felt a rash like feeling on my face near my nose. I also felt twitching near my lips.
I examined my mouth..NOTHING
I have not gotten any sores on my lips
I had no fever, or tiredness
My lymph nodes were not swollen
Today is day 30..no sores but I still have twitching and slight rash near nose.
Can this be oral herpes

Thanks

It's not likely to be herpes without any sores, but stop taking the Valtrex and see what happens. Herpes typically doesn't go from the genitals to the mouth as easily as it does from the mouth to the genitals.

When you say you took Valtrex before you had sex, do you mean you take it daily? In order for Valtrex to work to reduce transmission, you have to take it daily for at least 5 days prior to having sex.

Thank you.. I do not take Valtrex daily..however I took it five days before twice a day. I stopped the Valtrex over a week ago.
Today is the 31st day
No sores nor is there anything in my mouth.
I still have some sort of irritation on my face near my nose and upper lip.
Also I forgot to mention that the upper part of my mouth feels like I are bill pepper.
I had a fiend take a look and there is nothing thereā€¦just uncomfortable.
Could this be some other type of infection besides an STD..
I have no other symptoms
I would appreciate an answer when you have time.

Thank you
It feels like you ate a bell pepper? Do you have an allergy to those? Maybe you're having an allergy to something.

Or do you mean a hot pepper, like a jalapeno? That could also be an allergy.

There is something called burning mouth syndrome, and it is often associated with allergies. There are a lot of other causes, though. STDs are not one of them.

The mouth symptom comes and goes..
I know I am stressed.
My last question..
Are there other things I could have picked up that are not STD related.
I am in my 33rd day since I was with my woman friend and I still have NOT had any sores in my mouth, tongue or lips.
OR
could this be oral herpes that is delayed and will come out eventually

Thank you for your help
I mean, sure, I assume there are other things you could have caught, but I'm not sure of what all those are. STDs are my area.

Herpes doesn't get "delayed".

If the feeling is coming and going, it's either anxiety, or based on something you are eating or drinking, or using, like toothpaste or mouthwash, etc.

You should see your doctor.
