Confused !!!!!

Ok so the 3rd day of October I had sex with a friend after partying! I was tested the 3rd week of October and was told I have herpes my numbers were HSV1 .. And HSV2 1.16. Which was very low. I tested the 2nd week in december and they came back HSV1 .90 and HSV2 .94. Oh and I had my friend to get tested and he came back negative.  So I'm telling my doctor everything that is going on and how could this be possible? She gives me a blank stare and say she'll be rifht back. So I hear her in the hall talking to another doctor asking him about it and he yells "she had treatment!" At this point I'm pissed because I haven't been taking anything nor have they given me anything. She comes back in the room still with a blank stare and say "even though its on the equivocal now you still have it and there isn't anything we can do but retest in April. Sorry! "

I've been told if my numbers go down most likely its a false positive. Also how the heck I have herpes and he doesn't have it!?

P.S I haven't had any symptoms

I ordered it via stdtestexpress... You can google and check for yourself.
Can anyone else advice if this is reliable?

You can get tested on your own. You can order a test online. I did it once...

Go get tested on your own... pay if you must.  You need not receive anyone's permission in order to test.  No way in hell I would wait 3 more months were I in your shoes

unfortunately they won't let me retest until April. :-/

continued. if your exposure was on oct 3 you only have to wait 3 months and this being jan 9 you can test now.

Just have the herpes select type specific done there and come back here for help with it.

Thanks for your answer! I was thinking the samething because they were clearly lost and from my knowledge their isn't a cure for herpes sooo how could that effect the numbers????? I've been told the numbers goes up! But I'm just as clueless too. However, I will be retesting with them in April... I'm just wondering sure I go somewhere else.

Hi, they dont seem to know much about herpes. It appears your fist positive test was a combined which is not of any use. The second shows your negative for both. I you tested 2 months post exposure and your negative, there are really good chances your are in fact negative. Do retest at the 3 months mark.
