Confused

I recently took a Herpes test due to my husband cheating on me with a female that has had multiple partners.  My doctor callled me saying it was positive . The positive part of the test is HSV 2 lgg is 2.80 . My last test was negative which was a little over  5 yrs ago. I also read you can receive a false positive which is why the Center for disease control does not recommend testing sexually active people. Is 2.80 considered low should I be concerned , not sure what how to handle this or what to do. Can you please help me clarify this thank you.

Hi and welcome. Yes a 2.80 is an extremely  common number for a false positive if the test was taken 3 months post exposure.
