Could immediate swelling on lip after kissing infected person be Herpes?

I am in a relationship with a woman who is positive for 1 and 2. I test myself regularly and have always been negative for the last 2 years.

Last night after kissing her I developed a painful sore on upper lip almost right away. I went to sleep and it got worse the next day. Applying hydrogen peroxide causes a lot of pain. Went to urgent care doc m hour ago who looked at it. He saw the swelling but no ulcer and no blister. He did it could be a cold sore (which I never had) but with the absence of ulcer he thinks it is more of an allergic reaction of some kind.

What do you think? Because this happened right after kissing her I think could I have contracted Herpes? It is quite painful. Does it happen this fast?

You are also in a relationship with someone that has hsv1 and two and yet you seem very paranoid about the virus. If you really love each other than accept the fact hsv is a very real possibility. Sooner or later it's extremely likely you will contract the virus

We do love each other and I accept it just asking to see if I finally contracted it

If you did contract hsv it wasn't from that kiss. It takes days for the virus to cause a primary outbreak. Usually 4-5 days is the average.

Upon further research it appears to be Candida albicans (aka yeast) as I have large white patches on the inside of my lips.
