Could it be HSV

A little background information, I am a male in my early twenties. My last sexual encounter was over 2 months ago (protected, no oral) and only once. This morning I noticed (purely by chance) a very small whitehead (no cluster or redness) on my scrotum, near the base on the penis (underside). Its size was probably less than 1 mm in diameter. It was white. I took a shower and as I was examining it, I rubbed it (gently) with my thumb and it came off. A bit of white puss (not clear fluid) was released but left no visible mark/scar/scab on my skin. I can’t find its original location anymore. In terms of symptoms, I’ve had no classical signs of herpes (itching..burning and so on). My skin looks completely normal now. I’ve been obviously very worried all day (paranoid it might be herpes). My main concern is that for a lot of people HSV infections are asymptomatic and mild. Could this be Herpes? Something else? I tested negative for HSV2  about 4 months ago and since then this has been my only sexual encounter. The girl was not a sexual worker, just a college student (not that it really matters). I try to be very safe when it comes to sex as STD’s are sort of an OCD for me but I am aware that condoms do not cover every part of the skin. I would really appreciate your opinion on this. Anything I should look for in the future that would be some kind of indicator? All advice is greatly welcomed.

Your symptoms have nothing at all in common with herpes.  You had a spot that rubbed off and you now can't find it.  That's nothing like herpes

In the US, 56% of the adults have HSV 1 between the ages of 14-49.  About 16% of the population of those ages has HSV 2.  .

Depending upon the number of partners you've had in your lifetime, you may or may not want to get a herpes antibody test to see if you might be infected and not know it.  But the symptoms that you describe don't concern me at all in terms of your possible infection. Herpes doesn't just "come off" the skin, that's not how it works.

Thank you for your prompt reply it has put my mind at ease a bit. I did have an antibody test about 4 months ago and tested negative. I've only had that one sexual encounter a bit more then 2 months ago since (protected/no oral) so it would be the only time I could have possibly acquired it. Thanks again, I really do appreciate you taking the time to reply.
