Could this be herpes?

I have a rash of white pimple like bumps on my labia and I am definitely tender in that area. The doctor I saw today didn't seem all that worried, in fact, he kinda berated me for coming in for THAT? Well the bumps are worse. Does this sound like herpes? It looks like a whole bunch of pimples.

anything that wipes off easily, isn't due to herpes.  If you wiped off a herpes lesion like that, you'd be howling most of the time.

they can still test you for yeast and bacterial infections even though you have your period.

Hi Grace,
The doctor did swab in the area to culture for herpes, but he just said it looked like an irritation. He said he didn't think it was herpes. I've just heard so many horror stories about misdiagnosis and false positives.   The whiteheads wipe off really easily and there is no serum oozing, like the cold sores I get on my face. No scabs either. I am having my period right now so I can't really tell anything from my discharge. My appointment was at 9:15 this morning and of course it is worse now. It started Tuesday evening. Thanks for your response!

Did they do any testing at all?

did they test your vaginal secretions for yeast and bacterial infections?

Did they offer you any sort of diagnosis?
