DO I HAVE HERPES?????

in 2007i was experiencing a very smelly discharge so i went to a community clinic and got a noormal check up for the first time. several weeks later i was called back in for a follow up since i tested positive for chlamydia. i took the antibiotic and that was it. after two weeks i still had the very weird and smelly discharge. i ignored it for two months and went back to the dlinic. i had another check up and was told that i had a simple yeast infection. even after taking this medication i still felt like things werent right. so then in 2008 summer i went to my school's gyn where i explained to her my delima. immediately she did a papsmear and prescribed me another dose of the antibiotic for the chlamydia as well as some more yeast infection cream and told me that if she found something she would be calling me. two weeks later she said that i tested positive for a very simple bacteria that was sexually transmitted but very easy to get rid of. then she again prescribed me to some antibiotic. now that i have been through all of that i still feel very out of place with my vagina. it still is a very fishy strong smell. recently i have been doing research to find out for myself what may be wrong with me. i have suspicions that i have genital herpes. i had a breakout on my back right above my butt once and also recently had another on the outside of my vaginal area on my upper thigh. they were white bumps hard to pop and actually didnt even pop. i was in the shower shaved one side of my vagina and then noticed that i was soon to be late for work so i just hurried out. a half hour later that very area was itching and burning as i walked to my car. that night i got home to examine and it was about 15 little white hard bumps on my upper thigh. these bumps where the same type i had experienced earlier last year. im not sure if it comes from shaving since i have very course hair or what. now that the bumps have left there is a spot free of bumps and healing but is still very sensative. lastly what puts me further into this dilema is that i have started to see very very small timy bumps on my lips. they dont hurt they just make me feel as if my lips are extremely chaped. if you can give me any tips before i go back to the doctor for the 8th time i would really appriciate it. thank you

Normally herpes is not a part of a routine std screening.

One last question. If u go to your gyn and ask for a check up is the herpes screening apart of the normal std screening? I've done this twice and I never heard anything about herpes.

Nothing you can do on your own with these issues :(

If there is a planned parenthood clinic near you they would be good for this since you can't get to your regular doctor.

If you want to know your herpes status, ask to have a type specific herpes igg blood test done.  15 or so bumps with a recurrence would be unusual so even if you do test + for hsv2, next time you get your rash like this, go and be seen to see if it is herpes related or not.

Vaginal odor can be caused by many things. if you are having discharge and odor, return to your provider to be rechecked again for bv ( bacterial vaginosis ).  It's the most common cause of that fishy smell.
