Sorry I just noticed you said you tested at 7 days Post exposure that is too early to test, therefore I would definately suggest another test after a month.
Since I have no clue what emperically means I'm just guessing it means visual examination ..... the Doctor must have thought the blisters were in his opinion HSV which is why he precribed antiviral treatment .....
The only way to know for sure whats going on is to have another test done,if the blisters re-appear have them culture swabbed whenever they show up again .....

Your negative test result so soon after potential exposure does not mean you don't have HSV-1 or HSV-2. It could be that your body hasn't produced enough antibodies yet to trigger a positive result on the blood test. Did the doc take a swab culture when diagnosing the outbreak?
I'm not good at reading results but it doesn't look much like you have Herpes with these figures though ..... I'm a bit confused as to why you were precribed Acyclovir if it wasn't HSV though Hmmmm!! did the Doctor also take a swab from the blisters you ?
I'm not sure if 10days was perhaps too soon to test and it might be an idea to get tested again in a couple of weeks just to be sure the results didn't come back negative because antibodies didn't have time to develop .....
This is just a guess on my part because test results is not my strong point where HSV is concerned unless it's a high figure and obvious.
