What should I do???
Just got my HSV 2 IgG, type specific test results back and my doctor said I have been exposed to the virus. My results were 3.29 High. Should I go for further testing to verify the virus or trust these results. I have researched everything and it's all just getting confusing. Some say it's low so it may be a false positive... Some say that is too high so I definitely have the virus!!! What should I do!!?

This probably sounds crazy but what would an outbreak look like. The ones on google seem to all be extreme cases. I want to know in case I do ever have one.
our vaginas aren't perfectly smooth. no real reason to think that it was due to herpes even if you do have it.

it's not a big health risk for him in general. Being on immunosuppressive drugs can make you more likely to have complications but overall the overall risk of acquiring it from you if you have it is very small anyways.
if your provider uses quest labs, it's test #34534. It's a send out to the U of washington from all quest labs if your local lab is having trouble finding it. If you don't have a quest lab near you for your provider to order it for you, you can contact the U lab to have the test sent to you to be drawn and processed at your local lab to be sent to them.

He went to get tested yesterday. We are waiting for his results. Where do I get that test? How long should I wait to take it? How likely is it that the other test is wrong? How will this affect his transplant if he does have hsv 2?

It's been since November since I had unprotected sex. And I had protected sex one week before my test (also on my period when taking all test) I took the test because my new boyfriend asked me to. He is a renal transplant patient (doesn't want to risk getting sick) so I had no signs or symptoms of anything before I did it. Just trying to be a good girlfriend!
