Do I have genital herpes?

About a week ago I was visiting my friend when my vagina became very sore to the touch which then developed into what looked like sores but not raised blisters as I've seen in herpes pictures. That went away within 2 days .. A few days later being about 3 days ago the opposite side became really itchy and swollen not as excrutiating as I've heard herpes should be? I'm worrying myself crazy because I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months and just today he's complained about a cold and a 'ingrowing hair'  on his inner thigh .. I don't understand where this has come from as I've only been with 3 people in 18 months and it's only recently it's come about .. Sorry for the long one I just need others to speak to :(

I know it is. Please go and get them swabbed. Make sure the Dr does a type specific test so if it is hsv you will know if its hsv1 or hsv2.
Do not let them just look and say oh it's herpes. Demand a culture.
Get into a Dr asap and good luck
Please keep me posted

Herpes lesions do not go away in two days. It takes ten days mminimum. Your boyfriend having a cold and an ingrown hair has nothing to do with hsv. Hsv initial outbreaks very often have flu like symptoms after sores appear.  These symptoms include fever,  body aches and swollen lymph nodes.
What you describe really doesn't sound like a herpes outbreak. Especially not the primary outbreak.

Thank you for your reply. I've woken up today with tiny yellowish sores that hurt significantly more than yesterday. I guess the only way I will know is if I go and get checked it's just so scary :(
