Possible Herpes or something completely unrelated?

Hi. I am a healthy 26 year-old male with some slight concerns about my groin/hip area. A good friend of mine and I had unprotected sex about 9 weeks ago (we were both a little intoxicated, sigh). I freaked because 1. I refrain from unprotected sex, 2. I wouldn't want her to get pregnant (birth control fails... rarely, but sometimes), and 3. I had molluscum contagiosum about five years ago which has caused me to be extra paranoid about unprotected vaginal sex, especially. No lesions, pains, or anything. She said she was tested and clean.

About a month after that, a girl whom I used to date was "in my neck of the woods," and wanted to hang out. We had some drinks and such and one thing led to another, and she gave me unprotected oral (no vaginal sex). I freaked (naturally, again) because I suppose I do not trust her that much. I had severe anxiety over this. I did not experience any lesions, fever, or anything like that. I actually know a lady who has HSV-2, and she said that I needed to relax. Her symptoms (sadly for her, got it from her husband) popped up actually less than a day from getting it - a bad breakout with fever and all of that.

Here I am 4 weeks after seeing the girl I previously dated and badgering her about her sexual tests. She said she was tested three months ago, never has ever gotten a cold sore, all clean results, etc. I have a burning sensation in my left hip region that spreads to my groin, waist, and left leg. Probably HSV-2 or something completely unrelated? Sorry for the long post, just wanted to be thorough.

I am very confident this is not herpes related. In fact I'm so confident that I will flat out tell you youre fine from these last few exposures. I'd bet the kitchen sink on it.
Hsv does not act this way and the fact that its been four weeks is all great evidence that you arw all good. In fact you have no compelling evidence you do.

You're a funny guy! Thank you! Going in tomorrow anyways for a check-up.

Your symptoms are not hsv related at all. Most outbreaks happen 3-5 days after exposure and rarely up to twenty days. You have had no outbreaks or symotoms that rekate to hsv. Combine that with the close to zero possibility of contracting the virus. I would confidently tell you to breathe and know your fine.

Thank you for the reassuring words! I am a bit of a hypochondriac (both my mother and grandfather are). Oddly enough, the pain gets worse when I sit for extended periods, wear tighter clothing, or do rigorous activity.
