Drunken Stupidity
Last night I got drunk and did something really stupid, I had sex with a prostitute.
I used a condom and had penetrative vaginal sex which lasted maybe 20 mins or so.
I have done some viewing of other posts and some advice is confusing. I would just like to know what my chances are of having caught something incurable like HIV, herpes or genital warts. (Obviously assumuning that the person I had sex with had all of these things).
I am not sure if this makes a difference but the room was really hot and I was really sweaty by the end of it (dripping from me in fact). From what I recall the condom remained in place and in tact, and from what I remember seeing I could not see visible herpes or warts on her - but then again I did not inspect her.
I have read that even if you use a condom you can still get herpes and genital warts, which scares me immensely. Conversely, what I have read would suggest that the chances of contracting HIV in this way is very slim indeed (1 in a 1000 or so).
I would really appreciate some feedback from someone who knows what they are talking about. After what period would I be in the clear if I get no visible symptoms of anything.

To be honest, the hangover wasn't on the radar as this is all I have been thinking about - constantly. I been feeling so crap all day. If I am safe, perhaps this is a good experience for me as it is something I won't be doing again - really not worth it.

honestly this isn't worth any testing for anything. it was protected sex. You didn't get hiv, gonorrhea, chlamydia or syphilis from it. The risk of hpv from a one time encounter is too low to worry about not to mention no tests for it unless you get an obvious wart to have removed. The risk of herpes from this was also too low to worry about.
We all drink too much at some point in our lives and do something stupid. You had protected sex with a sex worker which honestly is pretty low on the list of things we will live to regret from drinking :) the hangover the next day is probably worse than the risk from this - honest!
