IGG Results

Hi,

So i had an incident which i was worried about 15 months ago and tested positive hsv1 and negative hsv2 14 weeks from this incident. Since i have been having similiar issues i decided to do another test 15 months after the incident. Positive hsv1 and negative hsv2 again. Should i be believe the hsv2 results now? What is the % of people who will test positive this long after? Thanks

For HSV-2 most folks will have an accurate test at 3 to 4 months after exposure with the last remaining maybe up to six months possibly but certainly by 15 months you can expect accurate results

Definitely expect an accurate result if that much time has gone by. Most of the infected people that dont know is not because the test gives a false negative but because they dont get a test done. Unless you are exposed to it then you shouldnt worry abojt results changing. Know that hsv 1 can be contracted vaginally too.
