Female to female transmission rates

What are the transmission rates of one female passing on hsv 2 to an unaffected female if the effected female does not have an outbreak at the time of vagina to vagina contact? What are the risk of oral and finger transmission if an effected female receives oral sex or finger sex when there is no outbreak?

No risk.  The soapy water will kill the virus.

One more question. Is there any risk if we take a hot bubble bath together.

absolutely no reason to clean up after her or to spray lysol!!!!  you absolutely will not contract herpes from her sitting on your bed!!!

we call it a sexually transmitted infection for good reason - it takes intimate contact to transmit it!!

I try not to make her feel like a "walking disease", as she states that her family makes her feel. I just want to be educated on my risk. When I first found out that she had hsv2, I flipped out. We hadn't had any real sexual contact except for touching, but her mother told me about her infection as a deterent. I walked around the house spraying lysol and wiping down everything. I said some pretty harsh words to her. I was checking my body every day because I just didnt know much about the condition, except the social stigma associated with it. I went and was tested and I was positive for hsv 1. I dont ever recall an outbreak. However  the last three relationships that I have had all my partners had hsv 1(cold sores) prior to meeting me. Nevertheless, Im always kind of anxious when she sits on the bed naked or even in underwear. I still spray lysol like I have stock in it. At times I feel immature, but know Im realizing its just that I am sort of ignorant to hsv and the real risk. Should I be concerned with her sitting on the sheets naked or with panties if she does not have an outbreak?

It's low risk of transmission to your hands in general. If you have bitten cuticles, dry, cracked hands or open cuts/wounds on your hands, avoid manually stimulating your partner until your hands have healed. The skin on our hands is pretty thick and resistant to herpes infection but it can infect there sometimes.

You can get hsv2 orally but the risk of that is low too. her being on daily suppressive therapy will also lower your risk even more since she'll be shedding virus less often. You can also utilize barrier protection for oral too if you want.

keep asking questions :)

yes she is on the generic valtrex. What are the risk of transmission to my fingers, if I am fingering her when there is no outbreak? What are the risk of oral transmission if I perform oral sex and I only on place my mouth around her clitoris when there is no outbreak and she is on her daily meds?
