Finally diagnosed?

So I went to planned parenthood and was retested even though the doctor told me I did not have herpes and that he had been doing this job for 25 years because he loved it. He told me he had no reason to lie to me and tell me I didn't have something if I did. This was now the 8th expert who told me I did not contract herpes from my one encounter. He told me that my symptoms (itching and spots on penile head) were from fungus and showed me how to "properly" wash my hands. He told me to keep the area clean and sent me packing. I insisted I get a herpes test, so he reluctantly ordered an IgG test for HSV-1 and HSV-2.

HSV-1 came back positive at 1.62
HSV-2 came back negative at .08

to recap:
I had never been tested for HSV-1 to compare a baseline, but the nurse on the phone told me these numbers indicate that I was infected within the last 3 months since they have a cutoff at 5.00 and everyone who has had it a long time would be positive >5.00. Is there any merit to this? Because it would be interesting if I contracted HSV-1 gentially from the unprotected oral and that these symptoms in fact did all related to contracting herpes.

HSV-2 was my third negative test but I'm obviously still worried my body just hasn't seroconverted yet.

at 5 days post exposure I was negative .13
4 weeks post exposure was negative .13
7 weeks post exposure (this last test) was negative .08

I am really hoping that it stays this way but I guess I won't know until I take the 16 week test. I think the odds say that I don't have it at this point. Plus 8 experts say I do not and my test hasn't shown it yet. We will see, what do you all think?

I feel its to low as is right on the boarder line negative at 7 weeks when 8 weeks would be a good indicator. The odds your contrated herpe from a one time affair where she did not have any lip sore at the time would be close to zero risk. People can have multiple unprotected sex with a obvious herpes sore present and still not contract it/
I with you the best and do let us know your test result at 12 weeks.

I will go back to a dermatologist. I am not allergic to latex as I had a blood allergy test for all common allergies. Could the nurse be correct that my 1.62 HSV-1 is low because my body is building antibodies to it? I know it is likely it is false positive, but is it also likely that the nurse was correct?

Most common penis issues from oral sex is a uti but symptoms of these would be irritations inside your urethra like burning when peeing and a discharge as bacteria common in saliva are not common inside the the urthra. Since this is not happening you can rule that out.

A suggestion would be that the lube or spemicides inside the condom may have caused your topical issues or your alergic to laytex. This can cause a change in your skins pH where normal flora grow out of control.
Maybe see a deratoligest.

my exposure was 7.5 weeks ago, it consisted of unprotected oral sex (I received), and protected vaginal sex. 2 days after, itching occurred that doctors think is fungal, but pills and creams have not worked. Itching seems to be going away slowly though after 7 weeks.

ok I may be missing the idea here. I will only put my questions into my first post. I thought they would be buried and that each issue is separate in that each symptom or diagnoses could separately help someone else out who is experiencing the same things??

I just noticed that you have 20 postings already about this, You need to stick to your original post as no one here has the time nor energy to go back and pull back all the information you were already given.

Your hsv1 falls into the false positive range and would need retesting and with such a low positive its most likely false. How long ago was your exposue and what did it consist of?
