Freaking out

So back in August I was with a girl who I just found out had genitial herpes. We never had sex but we fooled around. I fingered her and she was touching  me and after I was touching myself She told me that she hadn't had an outbreak for two years. I was worried so I went to the dr and told my dr the story and I requested a full std screen. So everything came back negative except the herpes test. It was an igm test. So I ended up going for a type specific igg test around 5 weeks after the exposure. Result came back inconclusive. I'm really freaking out right now. The girl told me she had it when I started to date this other girl. We've been having unprotected sex and her and I both have no symptoms. What are the chances that i have genital herpes??? It's now about 14 weeks after the encounter and i just went for another test. I'm Hoping that it will be negative and that the igm was a false positive.

I am using protection now and will until I get my test results. I have no symptoms but lately been getting headaches. Might because I'm not keeping myself hydrated but who knows

My current gf also has no symptoms and we've had a lot of unprotected sex. I had my dr call the lab and she said the they said it tested negative for Hsv 1 and 2 but maybe something else made the test result inconclusive. But even still it was only around 40 days after the encounter. I also believe she said it said too early in virus and retest in 4-6 weeks. I don't know what make of all this

the IgM is not reliable.

What were the results for IgG HSV1 and IgG HSV2?

I hope so. There were a few days where I had some headaches but I Believe that's it. I'm also scared because I have genital psiorsis so it's possible there were little cuts on my penis while she and or myself were touching my penis. Also why Woukd I recieve a positive igm and why wouldn't I have a negative igg????

You had essentially a zero risk event. The testing will confirm you are negative for HSV. You are unlikely to be infected without any symptoms.
