Genital rash and groin pain.

2 weeks ago I had protected sex with 2 different partners.  I have gotten a painful rash on penis, testicles and anus. The doctor said it doent look like herpes. I have no sores or ulcers but I have pain in my groin and lower abdomen. The rash is clearing up with antifungal cream but the groin area is still sore. I waiting for test results but going insane. Thr docs think its from the hot tub or soap from the towels at the hotel. I very worried that its genital herpes. Any info would help.

Thank you Fleetwood. I like many on this forum are panicked and desperate for answers. I truly hope its bacterial but the groin pain seems to lead to genital herpes. Monistat really sooths the burning and I even tried the spit test for Candida. My saliva hung like strands to the bottom of the glass but the test may not be reliable.

The best you can do is request a swab of the rash and seek a blood test 12 weeks after exposure, IgG antibodies type specific for HSV1 and HSV2. What you describe could readily be fungal and causes other than herpes.
