terrified...PLEASE HELP

I am a female and two days ago I had a threesome with another girl and a guy.  The guy has nothing, but the girl has Herpes.  She does not have any symptoms as of right now.  I did not actually have intercourse with the guy.  The only contact was from him having oral sex with her, then having oral sex with me.  What are the chances that I could have Herpes?  Also, I have read that it takes 2-20 days on average to appear.  What is a more accurate amount of time that it would probably appear if I do have it?  I do not have any obvious symptoms yet.  I'm very worried and need some advice!!  Thanks!

Sorry if that sounded off to you but in all honesty I dont think anyone knows how Herpes works nor does it run on a schedule - and YES anytime you are exposed to someone intimately with the Herpes Virus you are at risk and are only kidding yourself if you think you aren't. Also speaking from experience and someone who has it - I was just trying to explain symptoms and was only trying to help - from now on I will just keep off this web site as there are plenty of doctors with Phd's such as yourself Slacker101 who apparently know everything and can help far more than I - enjoy..

very nice post howdy. As far as you concerened, there is a risk of infection and the best thing you can do is wait for the next 2 weeks to see if you get any symptoms. The usual time frame is literally within 7 days. The virus is VERY VERY VERY small so for it to start treking down to your nerve endings and what not takes time. The odds are in your favor you did not catch anything.

First off relax, you'll make yourself sick worrying about it. Herpes can be passed even when the someone is not showing signs of an outbreak however,  I have Herpes 1 and have never had this problem. Some of the symptoms I experienced before I had an actual outbreak were: swollen glands in my pelvis (they stick out quite a bit so there is not mistaking it) - it will actually be painfull to sit down just from your midsection bending, your legs and feet may begin to ache - the Herpes virus attacks your nervous system and it will cause pain in the nerve endings. You may feel as though you have a cut or tear in your vaginal area - this would be a dead give away especially if you didnt have sex with the guy. I am not sure how long it took me to have my first break out from the time I got Herpes but would agree with the days you have. Not sure if the same symptoms appear for everyone but I would get checked out for sure and if you come out OK take it as your "get of jail free card" and be careful. :) Hope this was helpful for you..
