I'm not sure, why but it seems like my previous questions regarding this have been removed.
I am trying to get advice/information regarding autoinoculation. The short story is: I've only had one partner in well over a year, and had two negative IgG tests during our relationship (at my annual gyn visits). A week after my most recent test, I had a genital OB, and 5 weeks after my OB I had another IgG test and was positive for HSV 1, so my infection has to be new.
My partner is saying his IgM/IgG was negative, which was drawn three weeks after my OB.
How is this possible? I never had a cold sore or anything, but I did share drinks and such with people four days before a sexual encounter, including oral sex, than experienced prodrome symptoms 4 days after.
How common is autoinoculation without a cold sore? I'm just so confused! Please help!
