im worried

Morning doctor warren.  i slept with someone almost a year ago unprotected and she found out she was positive for herpes. I havent been with anyone else after that. I waited a little after six months to test for hsv2 because i would get a pinching feeling at the head of my penis that would come and go. I tested for hsv1 and hsv2 at six months and both came back negative.  i have also tested negative for all other common stds. At the presnt moment, the pinch/itch has been frequent in the month of april and may.  i have taken cipro, bactrim and dyoxcylin and the feeling is still there. Im not sure what this could be. I have read the statistic oncontracting hsv from one encounte, but im a little scared?  if a man had a BO, would he have that pinch feeling in head of penis and a slitch itch feeling on buttocks? Do you think my symptoms are std related at all? I have never had blisters, bumps, lesions or anything. Im scared right now. Nothing has never developed on my penis.

Hard to say.  I would think so but not positive about that.  You can send a urine test for trich, you know.

yes, but i was concerned about trichomonasis. research say that its more common in women than men. It also say that symptoms are irritation in the penis among other things. Say that most men are treated for thrich if their partner is diagnosed with it. Its almsot a year since the encounter, if I passed thrich to my wife, would she have obvious symptoms by now?

OK.  My opinion is the same.  I think you should stop worrying about herpes.

No, I don't think your symptoms are related to herpes at all.  I would believe your negative test because 1) you've had negative antibody tests after waiting an appropriate amount of time 2) you've had no skin presentations of herpes at all and 3) it was a single encounter.

I think you should stop worrying about herpes.  You might talk with your health care provider about any possible prostate issues?
