To give a little medical background for myself, I contracted herpes type 1 virus in my genital area a little over a year ago. I have also contracted the HPV virus a few months ago.
I hate to admit that I have had unprotected sex since contracting the herpes virus, but to my knowledge I have not transmitted it. I was not having any sort of sexual relations since I found out that I had HPV (warts) until last night.
I am extremely worried that my luck is running out as far as not spreading these viruses to anyone, and would like some consolation by having the following questions answered:
1) Could there be a connection between the two viruses that makes the herpes virus easier for a partner to contract or vice verse?
2) Does having the genital areas very clean make it more likely to spread (i.e. contact in a shower)?
3) Does simply coming in contact with a lesion assure transmission of HPV warts?
I have not been able to rest my mind all day. I appreciate your feedback.
