Herpes or Latex allergy lasting too long

3 weeks ago I had protected sex with a casual friend for the first time.  He was very large and it was extremely painful and the next day I had buring and irritation.  I paniced thinking it was and std and finally after 2 weeks I went to the dr.  He tested me for clamydia gonnorhea and syphillis and all come back negative and dr said it was likely the latex condom and advised me to use a cortisone cream for the irritation.  Now 3 weeks out and Im still a little tender and even have a little raw spot and Im terrified I have herpes. No other symptoms.  Now Im putting neosporin on it and IM reading thats not what I should be doing..  When and where can I be tested for herpes..  Or do I need to be.

I call the dr I had seen and he said all looked fine but gave me perscription for antibiotic for vaginitis..  After 2 more weeks and still not completely statisfied I made an appointment with a gynocoligist... He ran a full battery of std tests and all came back negative.  I asked point blank if it could of been trauma still 4 weeks out. (although it was almost completely better by then) and he said yes. Thank you for all your advice and help..

I'd stop putting topical steroids on the skin at this point as well as don't continue to put neosporin on them either. Both are very irritating to our sensitive genital skin.

no std causes symptoms the next day.

have you spoken to your friend to find out what std testing he last had and when he had it done?

At this point, give the clinic a call monday and ask to be seen again. Make sure they examine you again as well as test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally too. If they see any obvious herpes lesions, they can do lesion cultures on them. Your chlamydia and gonorrhea testing was done at the proper times but your syphilis testing was done far too early. If your friend can provide test results that show that he was negative for syphilis and hiv, no real reason for testing for either. odds are he was never tested for herpes.

is it likely it's a condom/latex reaction at this point? no it is not - that would've stopped by now. It can also just be irritation from a lack of adequate lube .
