Thank you all!! If it wasn't for the site I would just accepted my doctor diagnoses.

Especially, thank you Fleetwood20.

no, it doesn't return with a numerical result.

hopefully now you can move forward and stop testing from the encounter in question :)

Thank you for your response. I simply for the peace of mind.

It was negative, however, it did not have numerical number. It just says NEGATIVE He advised it doesn't rule out cold sores (type 1) but for sure I do not have HSV.

Now, I was still with my first and only partner when I originally got tested. He was negative (I didn't see his results) and cut me out. So, I didn't feel at ease, with his result.

The test was biokit HSV2

From your other thread, it seems you already had a negative IgG blood test that was done more than 3 months after your last possible exposure. That shows for sure you don't have HSV2. Why are you having the new test?

You must be having a BiokitUSA test. To my knowledge, that's the only immediately, while-you-wait HSV blood test, at least in the US.  Biokit checks only for HSV2, not HSV1. It is quite accurate, as long as enough time has passed since the last possible exposure to HSV2 (at least 6 weeks and preferably 12 weeks or more). If that much time has passed and the result is negative, you can be confident you don't have HSV2.

Of course you should confirm all this with the office doing the test.
