HSV2

I was diagnosed with hsv2 three years ago. My dr was shocked it was hsv2 because it was so mild. I've only had 1 outbreak in the 3 years. My now husband claims he never bad any symptoms prior to my diagnosing, he's never been to dr but developed a sore same time as I. My
Question is could possibly of contracted it genitally and orally? Every now and then and very randomly I get kind of a tingle on my upper lip. I've never developed a sore or had any type of cold sore. My mom and niece and two best friends both have cold sores so I've had close contact to hsv1 my whole life. My only concern is I have a new baby and I don't want to kiss him and possibly give him oral hsv2. My husband has never had any cold sores or sores on the lip or face either.

We also had oral sex before we found out we had it. I developed a sore and after a few days it went away. 6 month later I developed a sore same spot only it took longer to heal so I went to dr and swab confirmed hsv2. I've been symptom free 3 years until last month when I had a pretty bad outbreak.

Hsv2 does not like the oral cavity. Hsv2 oral infections are rare. I wouldn't worry about having the infection orally.
Have you ever been tested for hsv1? It is possible to have it and not know it. Many folks get it at a very young age and then don't get cold sores past the primary outbreak. Or have a few outbreaks as a child then it goes dormant.

Not that I know of. When I was tested she swabbed the sore, she said there was no need for a blood test. I knew it was rare I was mainly worried bc of the kind of tingly sensation but I'm also feeling it on the other side of my mouth but have no redness no sores not even a pimple, it's right above my upper lip in the "mustache" area, was just worried about kissing my little one on the face or anything

I wouldn't be at all concerned about passing hsv2 to your little one. Not only is it rare orally it sheds very little and isn't very potent when it does.
