When a person is conclusive for herpes, the test value would be at 4 or 5 not 1.9. A doctor puts a person on antivirals to help aide in healing and surpress outbreaks or if a person with genital herpes is pregnant.
Really makes no sense to be on this medication. You need to retest and talk to your doctor

Those are for people with recurrent outbreaks of herpes, you have not had any and your diagnoses is not confirmed at all. To retest to rule out the false positive you would need to stop the medication and retest a month or so after that. These meds dont cure herpes but slows down the muliplying. Please talk to your doctor about this or talk to another doctor as taking these meds for no reason is not the best thing for you.

No it can not. HSV and HPV are completly different. The 1.94 was for HSV not HPV. Dont be overly concerned about HSV as is most likely a false positive since your mate has been faithful.

Hi any test with a score under 3 would be considered a false positive and would need retesting to confirm. At 1.94 its very low and mostly likely it is as with hsv2 the body builds antibodies that most labs stop the numbers at 5.
