Help! Oral sex performed on my by someone with a cold sore

Yesterday in the middle of the day, I had sex with another man.  More specifically, he gave me oral sex, including penis and anus.

As he was leaving I then noticed he had a cold sore on his lip.  I asked him why he was even having sex knowing that he was infected.  He said it looked bad, but that it was dry and scabbed.

I did not kiss him, nor touch him myself.  However, I'm now concerned that I'm at high risk for catching herpes both on my penis and anus.  

I did take a shower immediately after he left and scrubbed myself with soap and water for about 5 minutes.  And approximately 10 hours after the incident I took two Valtrex, which I had left over from when I have gotten cold sores myself (on my lip).  I haven't had a cold sore outbreak on my lip in probably two years.

My question - how likely is it that I'll catch herpes from his cold sore.  What should I do at this point in time?

first off - washing up after sexual contact does nothing other than  make you smell better. The infections don't sit on the skin and work their way down into the body. once the sex act is over, there is nothing you can do.  

you already have a history of hsv1 orally yourself since you mention having cold sores. this was incredibly low risk for you and not likely to result in genital herpes.    You have significant protection against contracting hsv1 genitally since you have it orally. Combined with his cold sore being scabbed, it's really not worth any worrying about.   indeed he shouldn't be performing oral sex when he has one until the skin is back to normal but in this case, it wasn't an issue anyways.

no need for any more valtrex - it wouldn't prevent you from getting infected anyways, just keep your symptoms milder if you had been infected.

I also want to add that the Valtrex I took were each 1gm.  I took them in the middle of the night, as I was so paranoid.

I'm so angry at myself for allowing this other man to perform oral sex on me - and I should have known better and at least looked at his face more closely.

I don't believe him when he said it was healing either.  It looked very red and raw when he was leaving.

Should I take another double dose of Valtrex today (2 x 1gm)?  I have two pills left
