Help! Herpes & Eczema!?!

My new boyfriend has genital herpes and has been symptom free for 2 years (Carriers can transmit the disease without having any symptoms of an active infection). He also has eczema on both his inner thighs (a few inches below his genitalia). The eczema sites appear red and irritated though I am unaware of any discharge from them. My question is, even if we use a condom, could the genital herpes be spread through his eczema??? I'm panicked by the horrific genital herpes pictures!!! Help!

he should try to keep these eczema patches under control as much as he can. Is he sure they are eczema and not fungal infections going on?

Open areas like that can potentially shed the virus. Is he on daily suppressive therapy to lower your risk of contracting hsv2 from him?

oh grace - i don't know any of these answers but i thank you so much for mentioning them...i have a list of questions im going to ask him. he has cream for the eczema, he SAYS it's eczema - i did not hear any of this straight from a doctor. I think what we're going to have to do is sit down with a doctor....

Hit him with the list of questions this weekend....he he he

If he's taking daily suppressive therapy, it'll lower your risk significantly of contracting hsv2 from him.  The herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com is a free resource online you can both benefit from reading i'm sure :)
