Yes, I would recommend that you put this behind you now. There really isn't much you can do, other than what you have done. However, if you get another outbreak, please go in and have it swab tested immediately when it first shows up.

I went back and had another test done at the end of June, I guess just so I would feel better. I had the test done and it came back negative for both HSV1 and HSV2 for the IgG test. The second test was done around 11 months to a year after what I thought was my initial outbreak. Do you think I should just put this all behind me at this point. I read that most people would show anitbodies at 6 months. I did my tests 8 months after what I thought was a inital outbreak and then again at 11 months to a year after what I thought was initial outbreak. Since what I thought was the initial outbreak I have not had anything since. I read the outbreaks usually happen in or near the same area and I have seen nothing and also stress and anxiety bring out outbreaks. I have been under a ton of stress and anxiety and nothing. I just want yor opinion Ms. Warren since you know a lot about this subject.
Since she was born she has had genital herpes? Really? Hmmmm.
I think you can clearly rely on a result that you got 8 months after a sexual encounter.

She does not know what type she has, she only knows that she has had it since she was born. I was tested for both and both came back negative. Do you think I should get another test or rely on the one that I have. I have had no other signs from the initial signs and that was about a year ago now.
Was the test negative for HSV 1 and 2? Do you know what type of herpes your partner had? If the test was for HSV 2 and your partner has HSV 2, then you have waiting long enough and can depend on the results of this test with about 97% certainty. That's as good as it gets in terms of testing. Though your symptoms are concerning, I think it is highly unlikely that you have HSV 2.

I would also like to add that I had the IgG type specific test done
