herpes whitlow

Hello

i have what seems to be peeling skin on my thumb and ring finger

1 peel on thumb, 4 on the ring finger

My fear started as i once tried to pop a cold sore ard 15 days ago (which i know i should not have done) and that my hands were covered with tissue paper.

There is no pain prior to the peels showing up on my fingertips as symptoms suggest on the web.Just itching on my whole hand. I work as a pump attendant, so could it just be a skin reaction to the chemicals that im handling?

an example of the peels that im talking about

Thank you for taking the time to read my query

If you have whitlow believe me you'd know it. Peeling itchy skin is not suggestive of whitlow. Whitlow is very rare and very painful.
You don't have whitlow. You seem overly anxious about all of this.
