you aren't in the US so I can't be sure what testing you had done. if this was a herpeselect or a captia herpes test, you are hsv1+. Most adults are + for hsv1 orally whether they can recall obvious cold sores or not.

that's the captia test so yes that does help :)
So does this affect my baby?
Chances are your HSV is oral. If that is the case there is no risk to your baby during birth. Avoid kissing the baby when you have a cold sore present and kissing close to the eyes.
If your provider sees something that makes them thing your HSV is genital during your delievery they will do a c-section. Otherwise there is a low risk that your child will have any issues when born. Congrats on your pregnancy and continue to ask us questions as you have them.
So, what do the results for HSV-1 (3.77 ISR) mean? Is this number indicative of the HSV-1 being contracted during pregnancy or before? How will this affect my pregnancy, Im 9 months pregnant?
it just means that you have hsv1 like most adults do. you have no reason to think that your hsv1 isn't oral from what you've posted. Most folks who have oral herpes, don't get obvious cold sores to know that they are infected. this is not an issue at all during your pregnancy!
Thank you so much for the info.
