Hsv 1 oral transmission

So I've been seeing my girlfriend for about three months. We have had a good amount of unprotected oral sex. She has been diagnosed with hsv1 but has never had an outbreak or cold sore. I'm wondering what that chances of getting genitial herpes from her are through unprotected oral sex? With out a visible outbreak
Thanks in advance

Do you have experience with blood testing accuracy?

Thanks for the reply Life360, She told me in college she was diagnosed through a blood test. We recently went to planned parenthood for another blood test together and I tested negative for both hsv 1 and 2  and her test turned up with a .17 Igg for hsv 2 and no results for hsv 1. The doctors suggests that since it is so low (in the negative range) it was a false positive for hsv 2 and possibly was valid for hsv 1 but I'm still unclear about the accuracy of the igg test

Hi, those most at risk are in long term mono relationships where one person is infected so the longer your with her the more the risk goes up. That being said, since upward of 65% of the adult population would test positive for oral hsv1, you may already have it and once you have it in one area your basicly immune to contracting it in another , like the genital area. So do take the blood test to confirm. With no lip sore at the time the risk is close to zero but since shedding occurs about 5% of the time, the risk goes up over time.
How was she diagnosed with oral hsv1?
