Herpes ??
Hi,
It's been 31days since my protected insertive oral encounter.
Day 22 i was having groin pain
Day 25 i was having fever and groin pain
Day 29 i started to have burning reddish sensation on the skin on half of my scrotum, no blister but mild fever
Day 31 i start to have diorrhea and mild fever still on, groin pain and scrotum burning subside.
Since day 25 til now day 31, i have been having mild fever on and off and tiredness, i feel like a sick person.
Is this Herpes?? Anyone??
I did visited doctor on day 23 for groin pain and day 25 for results and fever, he took my urine for testing incase got bacteria. Came back no growth. (No chlaymdia and gonohorea on urine PCR on day 3 after encounter)
Told him i might have herpes, he said just weak immune system and viral infection. He said you need to have LESIONS to have Herpes.
I don't know whats wrong with me, i am taking vitamins, pannadol during fever, yogurt and accidolpholius to keep my self well. New symptom leads to another.
Do anyone know what is this?? anxiety?? stress?? virus??

Hi, I got a question regarding herpes shedding. How often does the virus shed in a year when there is no outbreak? Would there be a period of time where couples have sex and safe from herpes transmission?
Your symptoms maybe important but coming to a forum that is about STD's when we say its not an STD and your testing along with your doctors thoughts suggest it isn't STD it is time to move on. I think your symptoms are in your head.

if there is any symptom i am having, i have to make sure im okay. I cannot ignore it and things might get worse. If im okay, i should not have any problem or symptoms arising.

Today is day 42,
Yesterday night after shower, i was applying cream fungal and steroid cream for my fungal infection. All the sudden i feel pain on my left testicle, it was partial pain near the vein or nerve, it was unbearable and i jump onto to the net and check what is the cause. They alot of stuff which makes me so worried like epididimis and testicle torsion.
The next morning my pain have subside although there were minor pain at night. I ring the medical helpline and they encourage to be seen immediately.
I went to the hospital today, doctor told me could be STD, i told him i did urine test already. Doctor said my testis looks okay but for precaution, i have to do urine test for chlaymdia and gonohorrea, radiology for the testis and blood test for hep B,C, HIV 1 and 2, Syphilis.
I ask about herpes and he said not neccessary if there is no lesions. I said that even protected oral sex is still not 100%, i might still caught something and not show until now.

your blood test will reflect infection with herpes regardless of if you think you've ever had a symptom or not.
nothing you've mentioned sounds like a herpes symptom. you were not at risk for std's from your encounter.

Just now I spoke to the Sti helpline for all your STD question. I find it very odd when I ask the question how long is the herpes incubation period. She said you can contract it and not having any outbreak for weeks, months or years. If you do not have an outbreak, your blood test will not show that you have herpes even if you have contract it. Is that true? Or she is not sure what she is talking about.

as I already told you personally as well as Vance has also told you over on the std forum, you were never at risk for a std from this encounter. whatever is going on, it's not a std from this encounter.
you feel like a sick person because you've been worrying about this needlessly for the last month!! what you are feeling now has absolutely nothing to do with the protected oral sex you received.
your anxiety is the issue here - ask your doctor for a referral to a professional to talk to about it to develop better coping skills to help you get through stressful times like this.

So I think i would be at risk since the encounter I did not been well. I sick never stop ever since, never had such bad sickness one after another, I check through some online website regarding herpes. Sounds like I'm affected, I got fever, groin pain, scrotum redness and irritation on the raphe line, fatigue, sounds about right. One exposure even protected oral for 2 mins stain me for life, could even I caught more than one thing, maybe HIV, hpv, syphilis or any other STD. I have to get tested but it's too long, I don't know why my doc did ask me to test herpes instead he recommend me to test HIV, rpr, hep a, hep b. Everyday I wake up seeing myself not as before, full of worries and keeping everything to myself just because of one incident that change my life forever.
Could be anything. Herpes typically shows up in 20 days for a inital infection. You could just be sick and irratiting your groin because I am sure you are looking at it all the time to see if you have any lesions or anything. Not everything that goes on down there is herpes. Keep working with your provider.
