Herpes Risk - Told to Repost here

I am a male who recently had a sexual encounter with a, let's say, higher-risk female partner. I would like to know my risk for acquiring herpes. What happened was as follows:

Rubbing/cuddling while I was naked and she had panties on. Kissing on lips with occasional tongue. I lightly licked her breasts. She performed oral sex on me while I had on a condom. Doggystyle intercourse with the condom on (although it may not have rolled all the way down to the base of my penis).

In general, please let me know the risk of acquiring herpes from this experience. Specifically, I am curious whether there is a DECREASED herpes risk where doggystyle is the only sexual position used. The reason I'm asking is because my pubic area was hitting her rather sizeable bum, which I figure would be less likely to have herpes than say, her front (and me rubbing during missionary). Thoughts?

I'd also like to know, if I did get herpes from this experience, is it impossible for it to appear on my penis (since that was covered)? In other words, would it have to be in the pubic region?

Thanks!

you shaved, that's why you have a rash.

Hi Grace. How low is low risk? Like 1 in 100, 1 in 1000, 1 in million? I know it's hard to quantify, but what is ballpark? I'm more worried now because I shaved yesterday and now there's red pimples/irritation all over the area.

the risk of herpes from a one time protected encounter is incredibly low. We don't recommend testing for it after each partner when condoms are used.

Hi Grace, hope you're well. Since your post I've read that condom use only lowers herpes risk by 30 percent. Is that true? If so why was my experience nothing to worry about? Please advise.
