She's incorrect, I'm sorry. And pretty shocked that someone specializing in STDs is not aware of the problems associated with IgM tests. Perhaps you could pose this questions to Drs. Handsfield and Hook on the STD board, see if they agree.

I went to My Skin Doctor Today, She is Also Specializes IN STD's . I Showed Her My Blood Test Results. She Says Positive IGM is " RECENT INFECTION" and She Wants me get Tested Agian for IGG.
Like you Said Before I explained Her Your reply to ignore IGM Blood Work, She Says Not Ignore them and Says " IGM means Recent Infection" and IGM are Anti bodies That are Made First and Them IGG shows UP".

The IgM test is completely unreliable, and should not be used to diagnose herpes. There are false positives on this test. If your last sexual contact was in February and she tests negative for herpes, then you have waited long enough for an accurate test and should pay attention only to the IgG test. It is possible that your physician is not aware of the problems with the IgM test.
