Yeast or not

Hello,

Ok so this is new to me. I have had yeast infections before but i'm kind of scared now that I have been reading about Herpes. A couple of days ago my partner and I used a new vibrating toy bullet i am also allergic to latex and still use condoms. I am used to swelling after I use them. I noticed some discharge and chopped it up to yeast then I noticed a red irritated small spot between the fold of my vaginal lips above my clitorus. It has no bumps and is in the area where the vibrator was used. the discharge has no odor but the area was slightly itchy and sore. I am noticing that since I used the cream the itch has calmed (this is the first day of use). I have always thought of herpes as open sores with bumps ....however is it possible for this to not just be a yeast infection? To be honest i'm not sure if he washed the vibrator before use even though I should have asked. It was fresh out of the package could that also contribute to this?
