Cold sore?

I tested positive on my igm test and waiting to retake my igg test in another 60days. I got one small red bump on the corner of my lip. It's not sore, doesn't itch, no sensation. To me it just looks like a pimple, but its been there for about a week now and I don't know what to think of it since my igm test came back positive. Is this what a cold sore is or is it just a pimple/zit?    I also noticed a very very very small bump on the inside of my lip. Does it have any relation to the small red bump? Is it a cold sore? I don't have a doctor so I wouldn't be able to get it looked at.

I had the igg done and I never had it. They told me that the igm picked up a recent exposure. Even though the igm has a lot of false positives I'm just scared. I will be getting another igg test soon.

Oral herpes is incredibly common. At least 60% of the adult population has it, and many of us acquire it in childhood, many never having symptoms.

The IgM test is a poor test for diagnosing herpes. The IgG is what you'd want. That being said, a swab/culture of symptoms is the best way to know if it's herpes going on. We surely can't diagnose over a web forum.
