Herpes?/Time frames???????

The last time i had any sex was over 3 months ago. about two weeks ago i shaved my groin. a few days later i have a red bump on the upper part of my groin. Its only one red spot. it doesnt hurt or anything. it looks like a ingrown hair. How long would herpes take to show up is 3 months to long? and if it was a primary outbreak would it only be one red bump? How soon for an inital outbreak?

So you got your Psych degree when?  We'd all love to see a copy of it.

For your info I'm a First Class Standing Business School Grad and a Manager of the company I work in, and I'm only 25.  So don't go spouting about how I am weak willed or not in a good state of mind.

May I ask why you spend so much time on these forums if you already know you have herpes, is it your therapy to help people?  If so that is fine, but if it is to talk down to people, we'd all be better off if you took your business elsewhere.

yeah i agree with you to a certain extent...but if something is still bothering someone then maybe the test is wrong.....i dont know...im not a doctor. It just seems confusing to me. But whatever.....

No, it's not odd to have clusters of blisters appear on your penis. We are relying on noclue's description as being accurate and that they are in fact blisters. People have all kinds of anomalies on their bodies, including on their genitals, that can come and go. If he's so concerned about it, why hasn't he seen a dermatologist? Why is he showing up on this forum expecting us to buy his story that a visual examination by a doctor gives more credence to his "diagnosis" than an FDA approved negative blood test? Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Just the way that he posts on here indicates that he has an underlying psychological basis for his "symptoms." As I said, if someone even mentions a variation in testing, accuracy, symptomatology, or anything else, he's off and running. It appears to be a form of OCD centered around having herpes, and the guy seems to have it in spades.

All I can say is, I'd hate to be this guy's sexual partner. Can you imagine what he puts his partners through after sex if he is this freaked out about it?  Scary. And these guys walk among us, sadly. They are so freaked out, self-absorbed, and weak-willed, it's a wonder they can get out of bed every day just to walk over to their computers and log on.

Noclue apparently never had his blisters cultured. He is relying on a doctor's visual examination. Who knows what they are? Who cares? He had a negative herpes test 17 weeks out. When he gets his "blisters" cultured and gets back to us saying that, yes, my lesions came up positive for herpes, maybe I'll give him a little more cred.

Until then, the guy comes off as nothing more than an emotional train wreck.

i understand what your saying to a certain extent just out of curiousity how do you explain the blisters?....and the fact that the doctor said that is what it is. I figured a doctors examination would be a big factor. Also if those blisters are not herpes then what are they......isnt it odd to have a cluster of 3 blisters just appear on the penis. I am wondering what else it could possibly be. And like I said blood tests are not always accurate?
