Herpes and neuropathy

Can herpes type 1 or even 2 cause neuropathy immediately after acquiring the virus???? In particular, the lower spinal area or give electric prickly sensations in the spine and all over the body?

Yes, you can. I had peripheral neuropathy, electric sensations coming off my spine, my eyes were sensitive to light and would often tear up and burn, I had CNS issues impacting my balance, frequent urination, and body temperature regulation. Night sweats behind the neck as well. This all lasted several months after initial HSV2 infection above and below the waist. All confirmed by top doctors. Solution? Time and a big bottle of Valtrex.

Don't know but these past few weeks since being diagnosed with HSV-1 3 months ago, I've been feeling upper back pains once in a while that I never got before and the back of my head also hurts once in a while for no reason as well.
