i think ur fine... don't worry u have been exposed to low low risk. I advise u to get tested only if symptoms come up. And people don't get herpes on their hands because it's harder for the virus to survive there.
Also there are 2 strands of herpes: HSV1 which is oral herpes, HSV2 which is genital herpes.
You can get both kinds in both places but kissing is low risk even if she has it orally. You're lucky she was kind enough to stop you.
there is absolutely no reason for any testing from this encounter.

ok, Thank you both... I'm still open to other people's posts and thoughts, so please feel free to add a reply add your 2 cents. i want a answer from as many people as I can
I also want to add that the kissing part was little more then i made it sound. There was biting of the lips and she sucked on my lip. A little tongue action too. Does any of this make a difference? does any of this make it worse?
Kissing can't transmit genital herpes, if that's what you're asking.
I'm not asking if kissing her would make it pop up on my penis or anything. it wouldn't. I know that.... I'm asking since she does have the virus PERIOD.. does spit contact because of DNA put me at risk for the virus period?
I guess another question is, can I get it on my mouth from smoking/drinking with her? if she isnt lying and its only genital. should I stay away from her or can I atleast be friends? is it worth risking?
Herpes can only be transmitted from the area infected. It doesn't travel through your body, nor is it in ones DNA. If you have oral herpes, it's transmitted from your mouth. If you have genital herpes it's transmitted from your genitals. You can read all of this for yourself in two very good resources:
Genital herpes, the Herpes Handbook:
http://www.westoverheights.com/genital_herpes/handbook/view_the_chapters.html
Oral herpes:
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm
And furthermore, as Grace stated, there is absolutely no reason for any testing from this encounter.
ok, thank you all, I feel a lot better now. I'm 90% sure I'll be fine. seems like the only thing I have to worry about is if she lied and didn't want to say she did. my last question is...I heard this other girl likes me and wants to hang out. Do u guys think I should just forget this whole thing happen and try to talk to her? or should I say no and wait all the weeks for the test? idk what to do, its only been 6-7 days since this happen
hanging out isn't a risk to anyone. if things start to get hot and heavy with the new gal, it's time for the talk you should be having with every partner about std's :)
I get what your saying.... trust me, i'll never be scared to ask any girl now. lol but that wasn't the answer I was looking for.
I mean, let me put it this way, re-read this thread and think about if I was your son, what would you say to him about meeting this other girl so soon? should I even take the risk of kissing other girls yet? or just wait it out for a few more weeks?
I would've told him the same exact thing I told you - it wasn't a risk and there was no reason for any concern or testing from it.
