Herpes from this encounter?

My colleague has a cold sore on her lip. As I walked past her she gave me her phone to look at something.  If she touched her CS immediately before passing me her phone am I at risk of catching one?

j hand sanitized my hands and then washed with soap and water. Worried about touching my face now or passing it from my hands to my computer or phone etc.

Please tell me I'm worrying over nothing.  I know the virus doesn't live long on surfaces but if she touched the CS just before the phone which I then touched, is there some risk?

Thanks.

you would have to hard romantic rub kiss with a person that has a open lip sore to contract it. Not by towels and such. Those that contract it from sharing things like dribbling toys are young children whos immune systems are not yet strong but for adults contracting it other than those type of kissing is not any real issue.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have quite bad OCD at the moment stemmed from a bad period of anxiety at the beginning of the year. Things that never bothered me ie coldsores are now a big fear. Something I'm trying to get ovr so I can stop ruining my life with poinpointless fears.

am I right in thinking I'd literally have to kiss my colleague (or share wet towel maybe) to get this? Both of which I won't be doing!
