HSV TYPE 2

I have tested twice negative for HSV 2 in IGG blood test once in September 2010 and second in February 2011. I have signs of small dot like red marks coming on the head of the penis in September 2010 and in January mid 2011.

My wife HSV 2 IGG blood test shows positive with the figure of 4.2 in February 2011.

Do I have HSV tyepe 2? Is it possible to test negative twice over a period of 5 months if I have HSV Type 2?

Hi Grace,

They are like small spots that look like sores and open up. More like dots than pimples. And they have been coming again I felt on 7th of March. I apply an antibacterial, anti fungal and steroid cream and goes away in 2-3 days. Do not kow if this would be HSV2?

My wife did have a big pimple like herpes symptoms which doc confirmed as HSV2. This was 3 years back. We have started having anti viral pills 1 week back and will continue for next 6 months at least, 400mg twice a day.

Is it possible that during the course of the medicine as I started a week back still I get these spots, a week after I started?

HSV2 is not what is bothering me, it is, if it is then I should know. But the tests are coming negative, as mentioned before.

odds are these red marks aren't due to herpes.  usually they are due to irritation or fungal infections in that area when they are just small dots.

the free herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com is a terrific online resource for you and your wife to learn more about genital herpes at.

can your wife recall ever having had any genital symptoms of herpes?
