Herpes or Canker Sores??

I had an unprotected oral sex encounter several months ago, it was cunnilingus by the way and I was the one performing on her. I have always had a history of canker sores in the past, but I seem to getting them much more frequently than before. I feel like part of this is the amount of stress I have put myself under. Anyway, my question is how do you tell the difference between canker sores and any other sore of the mouth? My sores always occur on the inner linings of the cheek and soft palate...which would make me assume they arent herpes. Any answers??

If you suspect this is something other than your usual canker sores - follow up on it with your provider. Also take a look at things like chewing gum ( no cinnamon flavor ) , mouthwashes and toothpastes - no whitening, tartar control, complete, total or strongly flavored ones.
