Herpes or Yeast infection

I am a 44 year old sexually active man.  Three weeks after having unprotected oral and vaginal sex I developed blisters on my right thigh between my scrotum and thigh, basically in the skin folds.  They are individual blisters and not clusters with 2 or three appearing at a time a few inches apart. These blisters appeared overnight and swelled until they burst by contact/rubbing on underwear.  They went away after a few days and then developed on the left side and went away after a couple of days.  I went to Dr at 4 weeks and had herpes and STD test done.  All results negative.  I went to dermatologist who diagnosed yeast infection.  I treated with prescribed topical and then I went back at 8 weeks and had HSV2 antibody test repeated and again I got negative results. At the 9 week mark a blister returned and after all this I am very concerned about HSV2.  I posted a picture of the first blisters on my profile page.  Help

Would someone that has seen herpes blisters please take a look at the picture I put in my profile and let me know if they have seen herpes blisters that look like that?

Not really they pop real easy like a blister.  It is strange because I can go to bed at night and nothing is there but when I wake up there is a blister and it usually breaks open as soon as I get dressed and walk around getting ready to go out.  They go away real fast if I put antibiotic ointment on them and they do not scab.

As mentioned, the test at 12 week will be conclusive.

Those sores, are they pus filled?

It was done visually and thru question and answer period., s I did not have any current blister.  I have shown a picture of the blister to two other Doctors and they said it did not look like Herpes blisters.

How was yeast diagnosed?

Fyi - HSV2 IgG tests are NOT conclusive until 12-16 weeks after last exposure.  If you have HSV1 antibodies already (like most of us do), you'll want to test after 16 weeks.

Between now and then, get them swabbed within 48 hours if the blisters appear again.  If they are swabbed negative while they are still leaking fluid, you'll know it isn't HSV.

Keep testing.  Good luck.
