Herpes or hair follicle?

I recently went camping for two nights and didn't shower. When I got home I noticed a very small red dot on the shaft of my penis. After inspection I notice two more on the bottom side of  the shaft. Immiedetly I thought "oh ****, I have herpes" but then I realized all of the spots had hairs growing from them. The one on the top of my penis was very small, almost unnoticeable and the hair coming from it too was very small and hard to see. The ones on the bottom had larger hairs and therefore were a little larger themselves. These spots were not raised or oozing puss and they disapeared after about 3 days. They never itched or hurt at all. When I stretched my skin I could see the other hair follicles which were the same size just skin-colored and not red. Normally I would just think that they were an infected hair follicle except for the fact that there was more than one. Could it be possible that, due to camping and not showering, I had multiple hair follicles get infected? It seems like anything about herpes on the internet suggests that all symptoms are herpes, but these weren't "sores" and they went away very quickly. In general I have very problematic skin and have had  a scare in the past that turned out to a boil. This is the first thing I've ever had anything on the actual penis though. Thanks

You have a history of sensitive skin issues/problem skin.

you were camping and didn't shower. Enough right there to give you a rash!

You have no real reason to suspect herpes at this point.
