Herpes or just infection?

I am a 16 yr old male-    Ok doc and everybody, this is bit of a long story, so please read it and help me, it might intrest you as well. I was with some girl i did not know. we were just chillen in her room when we started kissing and touching. it then went on to other thing and we began to have  unproteced sex. about 5 seconds in, i stopped and told her i cant and i left. i was barely erected. but anyways, i went home that night and at some point took a shower then went over to my friends house that night to chill. heres were it gets intersting, either that night or the next day or next night, (so basically that night or a day and a half ish later) i noticed 1 (JUST ONE) itchy red bump not to big but itchy on my scrotum. I began to itch it vigorously and it slowly over a day or two began to get bigger and more red, itchy, and swollen, and pretty painful to touch. I itched it alot and it scabbed up in about 4 to 5 days and then the scab fell of realeasing pus and mixed with blood and was very sensitive at that point and scabbed up again. the scab then fell of naturally in about two to three days and it slowly died down an was gone and didnt itched or hurt in that area ever again. but a small very tiny white bump was left there for about 3 weeks after and then it turned into a freckle and nothings happened again. I had no swollen glands, it didnt hurt to pee, no flu like sypmtoms and no other symtpoms except the itching, burning, painfull to touch sypmtoms and those only lasted 5ish days. This happened in the july of 2008 and it was very hot outside. It was in the midst of football practice, weightlifting and yardwork for me, so i was always very sweaty. My friends tell me it was probably just an irritation, ingrown hair or like a cyst or somthing, i also trim my pubic hair it, but i dont remember if i did trim it or not earlier that week or month, but it scares me. it is now march 23rd of 2009 and i havent had another "breakout yet". i read somewhere that stress, physical tiredness, other illenesess and poor dieting can lead to breakouts and i have had all those to the extreme esp. stress. Also, i read too that herpes doesnt scar and i have a freckle were it used to be. is that a scar??? I havent even had a hint of a breakout and when i think about it, because it was so long ago, i either went over to my friends house that night or later the next day and had my first signs of it. I also want this question to be asked because i dont want to date my girlfriend if i have it because i dont want to give it to her. (we havent tocuhed or had sex yet.) Someone please answer this question so i dont freak out anymore.

Stress is not a trigger for most folks with herpes for starters.

Your symptoms are long gone now. No way to know what really caused them.

So basically, you most likely do not believ this could be a STD or Herpes. To be honest, those time periods i gave you were the most accurate i could think about because it was so long ago. I dont want this bothering me and it would be such a relief to know your opinion. Im getting a blood test this week, but i want to brush up first with your opinion. thanks...

A newly acquired std will not cause symptoms in that short of time.

You need to follow up on this withyour provider and discuss what std testing you need to get to follow  up on unprotected sex.  Same goes with your new gf - talk to her about her sexual history and ask her to follow up on testing too so that you both know who has what.
