Herpes or not??

I had unprotected sex with somone I didn't know well enough a month ago (he withdrew but ejaculated on my upper pelvic area).  4 days later I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and a UTI.  The following day I came down with flu-like symptoms - sore throat, fever, muscle soreness, fatigue, headache, groin soreness, nausea, back pain, burning lips.  I had a tiny little bump in my pubic hair area near where he ejaculated on me that never blistered.  Doc wouldn't swab it because it did not look like herpest to her (no fluid).  Fever and headache lasted for 2 weeks and now I'm left with pelvic discomfort, fatigue, a nagging headache, mild back pain, and discomfort in my urethra area (not to mention a riduculous amount of stress from the fear of what I may have contracted!).  Had CT scans (due to severe pelvic pain last week), CBC and other blood tests, all negative and normal (including a herpes test to see if I'd been previously exposed) but I know my body and I have not felt right since a month ago when I had this encounter.  3 docs think it's VERY unlikely to be herpes and strongly discount my concerns.  Could it be herpes??

Yes, I had chlamydia and gonorrhea testing done a few days after the encounter and then again a couple of weeks afterward along with a full slew of std tests which all returned negative.  The guy I was with had a comprehensive std test a month before the encounter and said he hadn't had sex in 2010 at all.  Then after I told him about all my symptoms, he was retested for everything and all came back negative again.  Assuming he is not lying, I should not be dealing with herpes, but some of the symptoms are so similar that I'm scared out of my mind!  I will definitely take your advice and retest as soon as enough time has passed for the results to be reliable.  I sure wish I had a fast-forward button for life right now!  My pain has decreased from severe to a constant discomfort with some inflamation and a headache that comes and goes (also inflamation of my vulva and flashes of pain in my vagina/uterus).  I can live with it until I get some answers, but before this encounter I was the healthiest I have ever been in my life, so maybe you can imagine how discusted I am with myself right now.  Thank you so much for your kind response!  I really, really appreciate it!

Also, if anyone else is reading these posts, i would certainly appreciate any thoughts you may be able to contribute.

did you have your bases covered with chlamydia and gonorrhea testing too?  you needed to wait at least a week post encounter for that testing to be accurate.

some of your symptoms sound like herpes but herpes isn't going to cause you severe pelvic pain. I'd repeat your herpes igg blood test in a few months just to cover your bases but otherwise continue to follow up with your various providers for your symptoms you have.

good luck and I hope you get answers soon - pain isn't fun at all :(
