Test results confusing....
I recently got my results back. I saw IgG (EIA ) 99.8%+ 2.0. It was in another language and the doctor could not explain...nor could I understand fully what he was saying.
Can someone tell me what that means? MY test didn't say whether it was type 1 or 2. (My partner was diagnosed for 2 so most likely it's 2.) I just accept that I am positive, but then I am reading and see where I may need to test again to be very very sure due to the 2.0 reading. Help please..

don't assume that since your partner has hsv2, you do too. You might want to try to find a herpes support group in your country that can suggest a better test to be done for you. Herpeselect testing is available in Japan but I have no idea where and how easy it is to obtain.
