what antiviral did they give you and what dose?
Thankfully it was just a tired inexperienced doctor, she was very admant that it was DEFINITELY herpes but the result came back as shingles which another doctor said was more likely and explained why.
I suffer from eczema which is more likely to be associated with herpes even under the arm, but due to the pain and flu like symptoms (and PCR result) it was determined to be shingles. Definitely wont be seeing that doctor again. -.-
are they also testing for shingles as well as other causes? herpes in the armpit area would be unusual.
not likely at all that you'd transmit your herpes to other body parts if indeed this is a herpes issue.

I was also very uncareful with my towel after showering and just used whichever part to wipe my genitals. I know autoinoculation is rare, but just how rare is it in the primary outbreak?
