Herpes test

I had a red pimple on scrotum with legs pain and right lymp nodes alittle bit swollen and tingle top of penis. I used a cream on it for two days and on 2nd day I tried to force it to buz came with alittle bit blood. on 3rd day I went to STD clinic and had a swab test and the result came back negative. I'm still have a pain in my buttoak down to my both legs back and front.
DO I need any more test to confirm ? My partner positive for genital herpes.

have you had any herpes blood testing prior to this?  otherwise at this point all you can do is wait and get a herpes igg blood test 3 months after the last time you had sex with your partner prior to symptoms.  should you get a return of symptoms before that point, be seen within 48 hours for a lesion culture again.

lesion cultures have a 70% false negative rate. since you have a hsv2+ partner, further evaluation is certainly in your best interest.

does your partner take daily suppressive therapy? do you use condoms?

just because you have pain, doesn't mean it's herpes related. follow up on it with your doctor to try to figure out what is causing it. many other things that can cause those sorts of symptoms.

a rash inside of your mouth isn't going to be herpes related either if  it's been there a long time.

they won't do the inhibition assay unless you have a low positive hsv2 igg.

yes you can get a blood test for herpes zoster.

I had my test after 4 months from contact but I got sick after 2 days from my contact with her. Testicle pain, rash, lymph nodes pain, nerve pain, buttock and legs pain... These outbreaks recurrent many times.

2- I had my blood work done for (IGA, IGG , IGm and IGE )  immunoglobulin and came back with lower IGM level.

1 - herpes and a fungal infection are 2 totally different things

2- igg testing is all we do for herpes, iga and ige aren't for herpes testing. general igg, igm, ige and iga testing isn't for herpes at all if that's what you had done.

    * Having a radioactive scan in the past 3 days.

no, herpes doesn't cause you to get fungal infections more often or anything like that.

no, an overall low igm result will not be affecting your herpes test results.

Some research online found out you can get a false blood work result for antibody if you have any vaccine in the last 6 months.
So that's why some ppl still get a false negative or false positive for herpes or hiv .

I went to medexpress clinic and they told me I have a tiny lymph nodes in groin area but I still have itcy in groin area. They give me AZITHROMYCIN 250 MG for 5 days. I had the same symptoms 2-3 times last year after I had the contact with a positive girl HSV2.

you have no reason to have your csf tested for herpes. it's not going to answer your question as to if you are infected or not anyways.

the clinic evidently saw no signs of herpes.  you have no reason to be taking a herpes antiviral. your testing was negative.

no you can't buy herpes antivirals otc in the US.

why can't you stop thinking that you have to have herpes?

1- Why CSF test for herpes not going to help if infected or not ?
2- I cant stop to thinking because I got the same symptoms many times since 2008 after this contact ( groin pain - testicle pain - nerve pain - lower back pain - lymph nodes pain - pimple - itchy - rash ) and I never had of these problems before this contact with that girl.

1.  Does it matter?  It's not in the CSF its not a blood borune virus.  

2.  You need to work with your provider.  Other things cause these problems.  You may also want to be seen within 24-48hrs after symptoms appear and have a PCR test performed at this point.

I have a recurring blister on my thigh. I went to see a derma few days ago, and he said i have a herpes simplex. He told me to have a tzanck smear (gram stain) of the blister, and the result was "no microorganism seen".Does it say i dont have herpes?. I also had a herpes blood test and hiv test but i will only get the result next friday. Its really driving me crazy. Any advice? Thanks.

lesion cultures of your symptoms within 48 hours of their appearance is the best course of action if your provider thinks that your symptoms are due to herpes. be seen every time you have new symptoms for exam.

Since 02-20-2011 I had flu cough sore thort muscle ache groin lymph nodes go and back until today. 2 days ago my flu came back again with dry cough sore thort muscle ache lower back pain with groin lmyph node on right side for a day or two then igroin lymph nodes on the left side.
